As a national speaker and expert in autism, whole-body apraxia, and intentional motor health, my mission is to challenge outdated narratives and empower families and professionals with a deeper understanding of the brain–body connection.
I bring over 20 years of experience working with individuals with complex autism and their families, blending my background in occupational therapy, functional medicine, and child mental health to bridge the gap between clinical practice and real-world progress.

Speaker Bio
Dr. Dana Johnson is an occupational therapist with a PhD in Child Mental Health and Development and advanced training in functional and nutritional medicine. With over two decades of experience, she is a leading voice in redefining autism through a neuromotor and biomedical lens. Dr. Johnson is the founder of multiple programs and centers supporting individuals with complex autism and whole-body apraxia, where she works to bridge the gap between clinical understanding and real-world outcomes.
Her passion is educating families and professionals on how intentional movement, regulation, and health can unlock communication and progress for individuals once considered “low functioning.” Known for her engaging, science-backed, and hope-filled approach, Dr. Johnson empowers audiences to see autism through a new, more accurate lens—one that honors the body, the brain, and the incredible potential within every child.
